I’m starting a Substack - a place for short essays, studio notes and unplanned pondering on illustration, work and motherhood, and the constant pull between outrage at what’s happening in the world and the sanctuary of the sketchbook.

 

After years of being unwell and finally gaining some diagnoses recently, I'm trying to learn how to make art that feels alive while making enough accommodations for my wellbeing, paying the bills and being a good mum.

 

For some reason, after a long period of burn out, I think I'm ready to share some of this journey with you.
